Grace
Rowe (the tallest on the right), grew up on Idylwild, a little street
in a small town called Stanton in Orange County, California. Raised by
her single mother, Grace often found herself playing make-believe with
her sister and friends and many times, by herself.
A rollerskate became a Porsche for her Barbie; a butter knife became
a dentist's tool for playing dentist. She often played Charlie's Angels
like most young girls of that era do, but unlike others, she played all
the characters, including Charlie, by herself.
Grace was a natural born story-teller.
By the time she was at the Orange County High School of the Performing
Arts, she had already written over twenty-five poems, a short story, and
had a vision of becoming an actress and a filmmaker. It wasn't until she
moved to college that she realized that Idylwild was the street where
it all started and that her childhood memories would be the basis of so
many ideas she would cultivate later in life as stories and screenplays.
Two decades later, Grace has just completed her first feature film under
her production company name, Idylwild Pictures. She has since written
many other scripts and is working on a novel as well as starting pre-production
for her directorial debut early next year.
